anole with weird spot on back

Question
I bought an anole from petsmart a few weeks a go and it has developed an odd blackish spot on its lower back. It has also become paralyzed from the spot down. I was wondering if you might know what it is. I have read anapsid.org to make sure I have everything needed.

 Excellent choice in reptile information!  If this spot is affecting the lizard so adversely, it could be the lesion of a tumor, an infction, or a trauma to that area (bruises in reptiles are a black color).  He should be checked by a good reptile veterinarian and Melissa Kaplan's site also has a list of vets per state and country for you to find one nearest you.
