my beardie ate another beardie

my beardies have been in the same tank for months then all of a sudden the biggest one ate the smallest one and he died. then he tried to eat another one why?? what should i do pl;ease help thanks!!!

Hello Krista,

Do you have hatchlings in with an adult?  If so, that happens.  Please take out the smaller ones, as they cannot be housed with adults or larger ones.
He might get impacted from eating such large prey though so I would watch for that.  He will continue to try & eat the smaller ones if they are not removed.
