my geko lizard wont eat and

I need help bad. I don't have enough money to take my lizard to the vet. His tail has shrunken and he so skinny know and he usually eats 4 crickets a day and now he only eats 1 every 2 weeks!!!! And i don't know WATS wrong.


so my question is what is wrong with him and i don't think it is shedding because he sheds fine. I've only had him for 3 years too.It say's it should live for 20 years though!!By the way he started this about a week ago and i am in tears because i don't want him to die.

Your gecko most likely has an internal parasite.  There is no way to diagnose or treat that w/o the help of a vet.  The fecal float test you need to get started shouldn't run more than $20 and the drugs usually aren't too expensive either.  Perhaps you should ask your parents for a loan and come up with some plan as to how to repay them (like extra chores, helping neighbors w/ yard work, washing cars, etc.)  Or ask a vet if they will take payments which equal your allowance...  There are no home remedies.
