QuestionI am devistated as our pet for 5 years just died suddenly and I feel responsible. I placed him outside for some natural sunlight with his cave for shade but found him lying on the sand dead after 40 minutes of exposure. Could the sun/heat have killed him? He was eating and appeared fine.
AnswerHello Michelle,
Oh man that is rough! I am sorry to hear that.
What did you have him in? A glass tank? The radiant heat is a possibility as it can cause overheating.
The sun itself is not responsible for his death though.
Though, could he have accidentally eaten a toxic bug or something?
