Question
my dragons eyes are crusted shut and it wont eat at all, what do i do?

Answer
Hi Noah,
You can wipe the eyes out with a sterile saline solution, such as that used for contact lens wearers but he needs to see a vet as more than likely an antibiotic is needed.
You can find a vet that can treat reptiles at:

You also need to see if you can figure out what caused the problem to start with.  Did he get something such as sand in his eyes? How about his "pond"?  Is the water cleaned daily?  How about your uvb source?  There are good ones and bad ones out there.  There are tests that were done on the compact and the coil uvb lights that have proven to cause eye problems in many reptiles.  Is this one of the types of lighting you are using?  If yes, then you need to change to one of the good brands such as  Repti Sun 10.0 and the Repti Glo 8.0's are a great source for uvb. The old "favorites" are the repti sun 5.0 or the Iguana light..which are the same tube, just different package.
There are tubes that say ''full spectrum'' but they do not produce any uvb.
These need to be positioned 6-8 inches over the reptile for the 5% and 8% and 8-10 inches for the 10% so
that they get the uvb that is needed. The tubes need to be replaced every 6-9 months as that they stop producing UVB long before they stop producing light.
If he isn't seeing, he can't eat so you may have to hand feed him.  Also, double check your temperatures as incorrect temperatures can also cause problems, and of course health problems can cause a lack of appetite.
