    Can Lizards hear, and why do they jump with a humpback??

Hello Christina,

Yes, lizards hear extremely well actually.
The reason that they jump with their backs rounded or hunched is to protect their long, vulnerable spine.  They don't have discs in between their vertebraes so that leaves their spines vulnerable to injury.
