snoring or whimpering sounds

Question
My dwarf rabbit is older, about 8 yrs old, male.  Lately have noticed when he seems to be sleeping he makes a sound that is like whimpering and am not sure if he is just snoring or what.

He is fixed and otherwise seems fine.  Eats ok, drinks water, poops.  But have noticed when he makes the sounds his head seems to bob a bit a little awkwardly, not all the time just sporadically.  His nose isnt runny and when he is awake he doesnt appear to be having any problems.

He does seem to have been trying to eat things he shouldnt such as carpeting etc.  Also caught him pulling a old teabag out of the garbage and start eating the string, took it away but he ate a bit of it.

Dont want to make a mountain out of a molehill so am just not sure if the sounds are a problem or not.

Answer
He could be having sinus issues, that would make him snore.  Or he is whimpering in his sleep.

If everything else is normal, you might mention it to the vet next time you take him in for a wellness check.

I wouldn't be concerned about it unless it starts getting louder or you do see nasal discharge.
