Question
I have three cats and they are all sweet. one is feisty, one is a lap cat, and the other is too fat to do hardley anything (due to a medical problem). I am scared to let my bunny hop around with the most loving one bucause the first time i did my cat started licking her head and after a whlie bit her at the base of her ears (the bunny didnt get hurt) my cat is a rescued cat and i asked people around my appartment, where i found her, and they said that the cat had a kitten (we later found out she was spayed). im wondering if the cat thought the bunnies ears werent supposed to be there, or it was a love bite, or if she was going to pick it up by the scruff of its neack and carry it off. please help prove my cat isnt trying to hurt my bunny

Answer
If the cat was licking the bunny, that is more a grooming behavior, although the bite isn't consistent with grooming behavior.  Bunnies will chew on things that aren't supposed to be there, but it isn't a behavior one sees so much in cats.

I would supervise any time they are together, it certainly doesn't sound like the cat was trying to hurt the bunny.
