orphaned kits

Our mini lop just gave birth to 5 kits yesterday and today she died.  What should we do to care for the babies?

If you know anyone with a doe with kits try to get that doe to raise them.  It is VERY difficult to raise newborn kits.  You can use cat formula or call a vet to get a recipe for bunnies.  You will need to keep them warm and feed them about a tablespoon or so of formula every couple of hours.  If you can find someone in your area experience with rehabilitating wild animals they might be able to help you with the kits.  Sometimes zoos will help in this situation too.  Call the local 4-H extension office for numbers to people who might be able to help.
