Question
i haven't purchased my ducklings ye, and before i do i still have a
few more questions. What do ducklings eat?

can i feed grown ducks unmedicated chicken or othe poultry food?

what is the average price of duck food?

Answer
I fed mine Purina duck starter (for babies) and duck grower (for older babies and adults). If you email Purina from the email on their site at http://www.purina-mills.com/ they can tell you where there are local suppliers, or you may be able to get it online. Mazuri also carries a great line of duck feeds. http://mazuri.com/waterfowl.htm has their info. Starter is what you want for babies, and Maintenance is for older ducklings and adults. Breeder is only needed if you plan to have them actually breeding and raising young themselves. Mazuri's prices are generally rather higher, though, with Starter being $18.11 for a 25 lb bag and it is $32.42 for a 50 lb bag of Maintenance food. I'm not sure what Purina's prices are now, as I've not had ducks for several years. I just know Mazuri's website and how it works because I get my pet rat food from them.
