I am only 14 and this is my first rabbit. she is approx. 7 months old. she is also a dutch rabbit. i know some little fact from 'thats my baby' on animal planet, but not too much. I dont want to buy a whole new rabbit and i dont think there are 4-H centers near me. i know bunnies pull their fur out of their bellies when their pregant and i also know that rabbit pregnancies are 31 days. if my facts arent correct or ANY other information will be helpful. the main thing i want to know is what is the best age and weight for a bunnie to be bred.

my bunny has also never seen another rabbbit since she was 6 wks old. would it be kind of like rape to put her in a cage with an unknown rabbit, and she not know whats going on? (sorry, my mom made me ask)

Answer
Rabbits are animals... their insticts are to survive and procreate.  Her instincts will let her know what is going on.  If you are still concerned, put the male in a cage next to her and let them meet with the cages between them.  You will see that she knows what he is there for....
