Indoor rabbit care

Question
We are fostering our daughter's dwarf lop bunny while she is in the Peace Corps. We love him dearly, but want to know how to keep him from chewing on our furniture. Is there a natural repellent we can wipe on the wood to deter him from chewing?

Answer
Believe it or not, rubbing a bar of Ivory soap seems to work best.  Bitter Apple spray usually doesn't work, or tabasco sauce, but the soap has some success.  Otherwise if you can keep him out of that area, or even take PVC pipe and put around the legs of the furniture, those might work.  PVC seems to be the most effective deterrent.
