Stillborn Kits

Question
My Holland Lop gave birth to one stillborn kit on Tuesday. Today is Wednesday and she hasn't had anymore, but is still in the nest box. I really think there is another kit inside her. Is it normal to have the babies a few days apart?  She delivered a liter of 3 on Dec. 13th and they were all fine, but prior to that delivery she had stillborn kits 3 times last year(there was only one kit in the first 2 liters, and 2 kits in the last liter that were all stillborn).

Answer
You can always palpatate her to see if you can feel any more babies in her. www.islandgems.net/palpating.html gives a discription of how to do this if you don't already know. It is not normal for her to have them a few days apart, especially with this girl having a litter average so small. Likely there isn't another one. She is likely just sitting in her nestbox. I wouldn't recomend breeding her agian if you find she does still have a kit in her. It is unsafe for her to retain the babies that long.
