Weeping eye on young rabbit

Question
My rabbit had babies about a month ago.  the 5 little ones are all jumping around, friendly, and eating and drinking food.  One has both eyes weeping.  Not swollen or anything but the fur is wet around the eye.  another has just one of her eyes that way.  The others are all bright eyed and bushy tailed as the saying goes.  What do I need to do.  I'm a first time rabbit owner.  I rescued three adults from someone who did not care for them well.  They have flourished at my home though.  the adults are all seperated.  Two males,  one female.

Answer
Dear Christalbartholomew (whew!),

The babies could have an eye infection that should be treated with the appropriate, rabbit-safe medications from a good, experienced rabbit vet.  Please find one here:

Also note that if you are using wood shavings of any kind as bedding, these can cause irritation of the eyes and lungs, and should never be used for rabbits or any other small animal.

Runny eyes also can be due to upper respiratory infection.  Please read:

I hope this helps get you started.  Please write back if you have any other questions.
