Rabbit flopping on side, landing more on his back

Question
First off I will say I have a vet appointment for Tuesday.  A few days ago my bunny had a dental procedure done by a vet with unknown skills as I never met the person; I ann not impressed with that, bunny has been not quite himself since then.  Teanna (my bunny) is eating, peeing, pooping.  Over the past 24 hours though he has done a flop on his side and kind of missed the side of himself and landed on his back; I have never seen this behavior in a rabbit, and he does immediately kick his legs till he ends up on his side.  He is 7 years old.  Have you ever heard of this or is this a sign that something is really wrong with him?  Thanks for the information.

Answer
Hi,

Sometimes when they flop they can roll over too much and they then try to correct for it. Most really don't like being on their back exposing their belly.  If he is otherwise normal, eating drinking, output normal, and resting okay, he may just be feeling better.

If it appears he is having other problems like having a hard time moving, walking, standing up, keeping head up, unable to balance, then this would require going to the emergency vet.  Same if he goes off food and/or water, or if output becomes abnormal.
