Question
We just abdoted a mini lop. im guessing she's about 2 years old. I cant seem to get her to eat fresh veggies. I know how important it is that she eats some kind of veggie. do you have any suggestions?
my second question is when she's hoping around the house she does this weird funny kind of jump, hop, twist in the air. is this normal or is something wrong with her.
My third question is how do we grab her to pick her up properly. we know how to do the football hold, but we so afraid of her hurting her spine. We just need to know the correct way of lifting her up.  THANKS

Answer
Dear April

Picky eating habits are a sign of molar problems, such as spurs.  And since lop rabbits are prone to dental problems, I would find a good rabbit vet:

who can look deep into the mouth and check out whether she has spurs that need filing.  You can read more here:

and read about a healthy, balanced diet here:

The jumping twisty dance you're seeing is a good sign that your bunny is happy and content in her new home.  Rabbits do this "binky" when they're happy!  :)

Picking up a bunny must be done carefully, as you know.  I found some good, illustrated sources where you can read and see how to do this here:

Hope this helps.

Good luck!
