Does my rabbit have Pasteurella?

22 10:32:11

Question
My rabbit just got her first checkup about a week ago, but I am concerned.  My rabbit only shows signs of slight eye discharge and occasional sneezing.  I told the vet about the eye discharge and she said it wasn't anything to worry about.  I trust that the vet knows what she is doing but this is my first rabbit and I want to make sure I know she is okay.  Is there anything I should look up or do?  Should I go back to the vet?  I will really appreciate you taking a look at helping me.  Thank you so much.

Answer
Dear Katherine,

A runny eye can be caused by many different things, and you can learn more about this here:

The vet is probably right that at this time a little bit of discharge is not a problem. But if the eye starts to get crusty and the tear duct really is blocked, more aggressive action might need to be taken.

You can find an experienced rabbit vet here:

Hope this helps.
