coughing

Hi,

I have notived since coming back from a two week holiday, that our indoor rabbit keeps coughing, unfortunately whilst we were away, the rabbit was kept outdoors. Is there an easy solution to the problem?

Hi Joanne,

It sounds like your rabbit has picked up a chest infection due to sudden exposure to cold drafts.  It is very common in house rabbits suddenly put outside and if left longer, it could develop into pneumonia.  The best and safest option is to get your rabbit to a Vet because they can evaluate and properly treat the problem.  Even if it turns out to be nothing, there is peace of mind.
