Spayed Female with Male Rabbit

Question
Hi,
I have 2 rabbits, one is a female mini lop who recently got spayed (early June) and a male lionhead rabbit.  They are both about 1 year and 4 months old.  I kept them in separate cages during the night and when I am not home, and let them out when I'm in the room with them.  So basically, they are out together for about 5 hours each day. When they are out, the male would try to mate with her, for about 10-20 times in an hour.  I don't know if it causes any health problems?  I know that the female rabbit sometimes does not like this, and then they would pull on each other's fur.  This happened about 3 or 4 times in the past week.  Is this normal?  My main concern is if it will cause any physical / health problems.  Thank you so much!

Answer
It won't cause any physical problems unless she gets really mad at him and bites off a piece of his anatomy.  He can't help it if he is not neutered, his hormones are telling him to do this and he has no control over it.

For peace in the house it would be good to get him neutered.  He will stop doing this and then she won't keep fighting with him about it.

If he ever mounts her from the front, she could bite him in a very painful spot, and the surgery to reattach is not always successful.
