Question i didn't get much information on my pet. all i get is a female dwarf rabbit. what
is the best way to get more information age, time for shots, exam, check up?
AnswerHi Diana,
you need to schedule a general exam with a good rabbit vet soon, so that the vet can make sure your rabbit is in good health and start developign a history with your rabbit so that they will be familiar with him.
Not all vets are good rabbit vets. I would recommend find a good rabbit vet here:
www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html
and find a House Rabbit Society-recommended vet near you.
Rabbits do not require annual vaccination shots for diseases. They do however require at least one annual exam visit a year, and would need to see the vet again if they become sick or injured.
I would suggest spending time on the House Rabbit Society web site reading their articles on all aspects of rabbit care, and also picking up the two books I recommend in my profile information.
