pregancy in my doe

My doe frencays later french lop was bred and on the 35th day she built her nest from fur ect. a very large nest. Nothing came and I presumed it was a phantom pregnancy. I cleared out her hutch a couple of days later and bred her again. now 5 days on Ive put her out in run and cleared out her hutch again. I found one dead bunny! I was shocked and cant understand what has happened. do you have any idea? Many thanks jenny

Dear Jenny,

It is possible that she gave birth when she built the nest, and you didn't find it until now.  Or it's possible that she had a very difficult birth and only now was able to rid herself of a dead fetus.
