Question
Hi,
I have a rabbit that is around one yr of age, and just yesterday i noticed she was sticking to the back of her cage and wouldnt eat anything. I have just had one rabbit die the other day, but this rabbit hasnt been around her when she was sick. I've also noticed that she holds her head on one side and i saw some yellow crust inside her ear, does this mean she hhas mites?  Please help me, thanks.

Answer
Firstly, get her to a vet as soon as possible. Not eating is a very bad thing in rabbits. Try tempting her with anything healthy for her to eat. Hay, vegetables, fruits, and plain yoghurt are all good options. It is important to get her eating something right now. Also, you can replace her water with Pedialyte, which can usually be found in the infant isle of a grocery store. This will help replace lost electrolytes.

The yellow crust in the ear could be ear mites, yes.
