Question
Hi Samantha, I have a question about my bunny Vladimir's toys.  I went to rabbit.org, a recommended site from my previous expert, and I looked at what they recommended.  For example, cardboard boxes as little "forts" or tunnels for bunnies.  I have tried this, but he just seems to eat the box.  What toys would you recommend (homemade or pet store purchasable) that would suit a male, dutch bunny. Thanks.

Answer
Hello!
For toys I use a combo of cardboard tubes, like from TP or Paper towels, wood chews, alfalfa blocks and and other small items.
Any tubes without ink, since most inks can be harmful to bunnies. I also give them pressed alfalfa cubes and tubes, they like to throw them around, and also gives them a snack to help keep the teeth worn down.
I also use wood cubes, the nice color full ones. They love them! and they don't really eat them, just kinda toss them about. I have also found that many like big things to hop up on like bricks and thick wood blocks. Anything in his cage that he can make noise with to disturb you at night will provide him with fun play toys. Remember exercise and running loose will be the most entertaining thing you can do for him. Also playing with him, and if he likes to do so, chasing you will keep him ( and you) entertained for hours!
Hope this helps!
Samantha
