Question
Hi. My 4 month old dwarf bunny sneezes 6 to 10 times in a row a few times a day. I don't see any discharge from his eyes or nose. Should I be worried?

Answer
Well, the moment you see any discharge, you should take your bun in to a vet to have it checked out.

But many things can cause sneezing, some of the environmental.  Smoke, perfume, air freshers, candle, etc.. Some people are very sensitive to things in their environment and rabbits are the same way.  First off, you can try doing a little detective work and try to determine if there is anything in the air that could be causing this.  Or if there is any pattern to the sneezing.  For instance, if you bun sneezes every time someone with a strong scent walks by, or if someone sprays air freshener in the air.

If you can't find anything environmental, you can take your bun into a rabbit savvy vet and have him checked out.  The vet may listen to his chest, and nose.  Check his teeth and look for eye or nose discharge.
