Question
In our case we have no mother for the babie bunnies we are taking care of 6 out of 7 of the babies have died due to magets, now we are left with only one Babie, the problem is for this bunnie he is very very active latley he has been trying to jump out as well as claw his way out of his container wich has no lid.

We would like to know what we should do to ensure that he does not hurt himself while being soo active and trying to jump out.

Thanks for your help.

Answer
Dear Paris,

Is this a wild baby cottontail?  If so, please go here for some useful information on how to save and properly release them:

IF the baby is trying to jump out, he needs to be in a *covered* cage or pen that's on the floor, so he can't harm himself if he jumps.  You don't say how old they are, but if these are wild babies, then keeping him in captivity much longer could result in what's called "captive stress death."  A wild baby is so stressed by being in captivity, that the stress simply kills him without warning.

I hope the article above helps. Please write back if you have any other questions.
