bannana peels

can rabbits eat bannana peels?  mine really likes to chew on it when i share a bannana with her, and i just wanted to make sure it was ok for her to have.  thanks!  sarah.

While most rabbits do enjoy banana (or peels), they are very high in sugar/carbs and really are not good choices for them to eat.  Further, because they tend to be sticky, this can also cause tooth decay problems in rabbits.

If your rabbit is very active and gets a lot of exercises, perhaps a small piece a few times a week would be okay.  Definitely not very much of it.
