Urinating on Fleece Bed.

Question
I have 2 bonded bunnnies. They are 4 and 5 yaers old. They are litter trained. They had a fleece bed that they both liked to sleep in. Over the last few months they have started urinating on it. So I took it out and put a hooding that they loved in their fence and they started urinating on that. So then I just didn't put any cloth in their fence and not all the time but sometimes they will just urinate on the floor. They are both healthy. They are eating and drinking just fine. Their "pills" look normal and the urine I see on the floor sometimes, looks O>K> too. So I don't think they are sick. I give them a little bit (1/4 cup) pellets in the morning of a timothy base pellet and timothy hay. In the evening they get 1 cup each of fresh greens. They also get all the hay they can eat. So I am not sure what is up with them. They have 2 cat litter boxes add they use them. I have been having to wash their bottoms because of the urine
satins on their fur. It doesn't look iritated but it is smelly and their fur is stiff. Winter is coming and I want to give them their bed back because we do keep our house a little cool and they are on a tile floor in their fence but I don't want them to keep urinating on it. It gets all soggy anbd then their fur is all stiff and smelly. Do you have any ideas about what is going on with them and what can I do? I know this is a big question but I wanted to give you all the info I could think of so we wouldn't be sending messages back and forth and I can find the solution quicker. They are very alert and active and play alot.

Thank you, Chris Parker

Answer
Have you had them checked to make sure that neither has a urinary tract infection or perhaps even arthritis?  There's several problems they could have that is causing this, because rabbits really like to be clean and prefer not to have anything on their fur.

The diet sounds fine, their behavior sounds ok, but you might want to get the medical angle checked out to make sure there isn't any medical reason for this.
