Question
Hi kelly....someone dropped my 5 year old male lop....hes paralyzed both legs.  Hes eating and drinking and seems to be clicking his teeth which her usally does when hes happy...he appears to be in no pain but has zero bladder control and when I apply light pressure on his belly blood and what appears to be urine comes out in a steady stream from his anus....im sure he has to be put down but i want to be sure and like i said he appears pain free??...when he was dropped he also convulsed.  is his bladder smashed and the urine all through his bowels???....i can see a bunny expert till next week because shes on vacation and there is no other expert at any of the offices today...i just dont know weather to hold out for a week or hurry him down to have him put down him...i think i know the answer but want to make sure....one vet told me over the phone that he thought there was nothing you can do but said hes not an expert.    thanks Tim

Answer
Hello,

I would recommend taking your rabbit to any veterinarian, asap. Of course an expert is preferable, but any veterinarian should be able to help you in this situation. Often, there is little that can be done, but a veterinarian is the best person to ask. Definitely do not wait and go immediately.

I'm sorry about your situation. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Kelly
