Pregnant??

Question
Ok, i bought two female eight week old holland lops on 9-9-06
oops ones a boy
They lived together in the same cage
I got my male neutered Dec 10 at five months old
I separated them on Jan 6 when i got a new cage
I think my female is pregnant!
she seems heavier, antisocial, less hygenic (pooing on the floor of her
cage), and has new scratching habits on my clothes
I tried palpating but it didnt really work for me
I think i felt tiny nipples on her tummy that werent there before
Now that my buck is neutered i let them play on the floor she mounts
him in stead of the other way around (i know thats dominance behavior)
I put in a nest box yesterday with a grass mat on the bottom and hay in
the shape of a nest
she hasnt pulled her fur or anything
so is she pregnant?
and if she has no babies when can i take out the nest box?
thank you
Kaela

Answer
Leave the box in until you find her using it as a bathroom. Take it out for a few days, and put it back in. If she doesn't have them by the 15th, then she is not pregnant. You had your male fixed on the 10th, so he would have had to bred her before then. It takes them 29-32 days to have babies.
