socialising of new rabbit

Question
We have just bought a new baby bunny to keep our year old rabbit company, however now we have the baby at home , every time we put her in the cage the older rabbit goes crazy and jumps on the baby and bites and scratches.  Will the older female ever accept the baby and how do we help them to get used to and accept each other.

hi pippa -rabbits should be put with each other when they are babies your older rabbit will fight the young one because it thinks its intruding on its territory the only way is to keep them in seperate cages or runs so they can see each other and try and introduce them slowly it will take a long time and in the end it may not work but youhave to try.
