Question
I have a 6 month old french lop rabbit. I have found 2 whisker's on the floor in about a month. Is this normal?? Could she be missing something in her diet??

Answer
Lesa, yes it is very possible that she could be needing better nutrition.  Pet store rabbit food is notorious for bad nutrition.  Better a pellet developed for rabbit breeders.  If you cannot get that type of pellet then you can supplement her diet by giving her a LITTLE bit of the following, unsalted raw sun flower seeds ( 2 a day max), a sprig of parsley, cilantro, mint, oregano( all fresh ), a 1" slice of banana with peel, 2 or 3 raisins, washed peels from fruit ( apple, pear, cucumber, papaya ) and of course all the dry hay she wants.  Also you should put 6ml of apple cider vinegar per liter of water all the time.  These extras should be given a little at time over a week.  She will love you for it and be much healthier - BUT do not over do it or she will get the runs.
