okay... this may seem like a bizzare question but i have noticed some lumps on my bucks belly and legs... these bumps are not his fur, they are under his skin... do you have any ideas of what this could be????
i have asked 1 other expert and she was no help to me!!!!!

Hi Britney,

Sounds like these could be lypoma which are lumps of fatty tissue. One way to test (but this isn't foolproof) is to gently hold one of the lumps and see if you can put your fingers underneath it.  That is sort of lift it up.  If it feels fairly loose then it's most likely a lypoma.  Normally these are benign and as long as they are not interfering with movement or bodily functions they can be left.  But if you buck shows signs of pain then you should get your vet to have a look.

You should keep a close eye on your buck.  If the lumps change size, become red and/or sore or start discharging or if your buck starts to look unwell or exhibits different behaviours then you should get your vet to have a look and a biopsie might need to be done.

If you're really worried, get your vet to have a look anyway.
