Question
Hi,
I have a couple of questions actually.

I've bought a purebred pedigree fawn mini lop buck (he won't be ready to pick up until 1st September), and I want to buy a female to breed him with. (I'd like to become a registered breeder, but only with a few rabbits, not a whole rabbitry).

My first question is what possible colours would the kits be if i bred my fawn buck (who has a blue & fawn harliquin dam and a self blue sire) with:
a: a self black doe (who has a self blue dam and a chocolate sire)
b: a self blue doe (colour of parents unknown)

I love the colours fawn, blue, black and opal, so I'd like to achieve these colours in the kits.

My next question is can two un-spayed females live together? I can't chose between the blue and black does, so I'd like to buy them both... I have an almost-2metre long and 60cm high cage so I'd like them to live together in that because it's such a big cage. Both doe's will be ready to be picked up (from separate breeders) on the same day so I can bring them home together and introduce them to their new home at the same time to (hopefully) avoid territorial issues, but I don't know if they'll continue to get along? I want to be sure before I buy them both... (No, the buck won't be living with them.)

Many thanks.

Answer
hi sorry i cannot answer the colour question as i have no knowledge of min lops.
you may find that trying to keep two does together will result in loads of fighting to show which one is dominant but try the and see how it goes but be prepared to house them seperately.
