Question
QUESTION: I really want a rabbit or a guinea pig but my parents keep saying no and i say why they say because you already have two pets ( i have a Labrador and a 3 year old cat), but they are family pets i really want an animal that i can take care of myself as i am now 13 turning 14 soon! How can i convince them to let me get a rabbit or guinea pig???

ANSWER: Tegz, you need to prove to your parents that you are responsible.  Try to make a deal with them - as in " I will do such and such for so long to prove I am responsible and when I do it you let me have my own pet"

QUESTION: Can you please give me some tips on convincing my parents to letting me get a rabbit! And will the rabbit be lonely if its in its cage all day and then when i get home from school let it out! And when i do it might have a play with my cat Milo, is that ok? Or does he need more exercise and playing?

Answer
Tegz, You would need two rabbits so that they are not lonely all day - I would suggest two male dwarf rabbits - as long as they are not near a female they will not fight.

Rabbits are very nice pets, they can be trained to go to the bathroom in a litter box, do not make any noise, do not need shots or baths, eat very little and their food is not expensive.  They are really fun to play with and watch, and they have the ability to lower blood pressure just by watching and taking care of them. ( they relax you ).
