Question
QUESTION: I have 5 rabbits. They are 12 weeks old. Four does and a buck. They are not neutered, and the girls live together, and the boy along.
My first question is, can the females live together, when they are not pregnant or  have babies? They don't fight.
My sencond question, is what is the best age to breed, and what is the whole process

QUESTION: The four girls are sisters, and the male is from a different litter, and he is not related to them.

Answer
Bethany,

The females can live together in a pen big enough to hold them - they will fight if the space allotted to them is to small.  Or you can put them two to a cage until 120 days old.  At 120 days they should each go into their own cage.  They can be mated at 150 days. Once mated then they can be returned to the pen and then seperated at day 28 , each to her own space with a nest.  It is not a good idea to have them all together with their kits.  The buck should be 180 days old for his first mating - you can mate him once a day every other day in the first year and thereafter twice a week.

AS for the whole process - that is to involved to answer here - I give a 4 hour course just to cover the basics.  Do a Goggle on rabbit breeding for more information. There is a wonderful group on Yahoo called " meat rabbits " that is full of good breeders.
