Safe kinds of wood

Question
I just built my mini lop an indoor condo, and lined the shelves in a pressboard. When I realized that this wood could be bad because of all the glues, I removed it and went with a non-treated wood like everyone told me to do. The only wood I jnew to stay away from was redwood. I used a non-treated pine. NOW, I am hearing all these horror stories of how pine emits gasses that can cause liver damage. Is the pine safe for him, or no?

Answer
Mary, untreated pine is fine.  But wood is very hard to keep really clean and if the rabbit can get to it, they lOVE to nibble on it.  You will have to be very vigilant that the hutch is cleaned very well at least once a week - you have to be sure there is not any feces anywhere.
