leaving my rabbit outdoors in cold weather

Question
Is it safe to leave my rabbit outdoors during the winter in his hutch.  I have the wind blocked by a tarp and am concerned if he will be alright in the extreme cold.

Answer
Yes, however you must be sure that the rabbit has a 'sitting board' or something or someplace that they can keep the wind and cold from getting up under them. Their coats can keep them warm, but they must be able to 'huddle'. So long as they are out of the direct wind and have a solid floor, they will be OK. Regards, Steve
