I dont know if my new baby is sick or docile?

Question
I just bought my sons 3 baby dwarf rabbits 4 days ago, 2 of
them are lively and adventurous.. Mario however is smaller
then the other two, very docile, he rarely hops around and
spends most of his time sleeping. He is eating and drinking
but doesn't seem to be grooming himself as well as his
brothers as his bottom is a little dirty unlike his brothers
that are clean. I am not sure if he is just very docile or
if this is a sign that he is sick? Thank you

Answer
Dear Jaleca,

It is not normal for a baby rabbit to have a messy bottom, and diarrhea can quickly become fatal for a little baby rabbit.  Please read this immediately:

and if you see full-blown diarrhea, please bring this with you to the vet:

Note that rabbits are very delicate and not suitable for children who wish to carry them around and play with them.  They may look like toys, but they are certainly not.  Please be sure to supervise all playtime with the rabbits, and don't let the children pick them up and carry them around, as this will massively increase the likelihood that the bunnies will get sick.  It is very stressful for them to be carried, as you can read here:

For a complete overview of rabbits and children, please read this:

It could save your bunnies' lives.

Hope this helps.
