bunny sneezes

Question
I had a beautiful lionhead rabbit, and he died. I got a lop-eared now and I'm so paranoid that something is going to happen to him too, so I'm sorry if any of my questions sound silly.

I let my rabbit out to hop around today and he kept sneezing. 2 or 3 times in a row. He's still eating, hes a pretty good size and all that, regular bowel movements. is the sneezing anything I should worry about?

Answer
I'm sorry for the death of your rabbit.  And I completely understand the paranoid feeling about something happening to another one.

Sneezing is something you want to keep an eye on.  If there's any kind of discharge from the nose or eyes, you want to take your bunny to a vet.  There are some things that can be quite serious and challenging if not caught early enough.

But some sneezing can also be caused by environmental factors like bedding, dust, perfume, candles/potpourri.

This is a good article written about sneezing and possible causes. It mostly concentrates on health problems that can cause sneezing:

If any of your bunny's symptoms match some of the things listed, you should take your bunny to a vet for a checkup.
