Answer
Dear Priyank,

Your bunny is suffering from ileus, and needs the immediate, emergency attention of a good rabbit vet.  If you are in the U.S., you can find a good vet here:

www.rabbit.org/vets

If you are outside the U.S., please write back and I'll try to help you find a good rabbit vet.

In either case, please read the following immediately:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/ileus.html

and print this for your vet:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/ileus.pdf

These articles could save her life, as they are full of information on how to reverse the ileus and stop her pain.  The most important things right now are:

1.  pediatric simethicone suspension for gas
2.  gentle abdominal massage to get the intestine moving
   again
3.  get her to the vet for serious pain medication and
   treatment with intestinal motility drugs.

Once the ileus is resolved, you need to find out *why* her GI tract stops, which it does in rabbits due to pain, illness, or stress.  The most common causes are incorrect diet:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/diet.html

and undiagnosed/untreated dental problems:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/dental.html

If you find a good rabbit vet, s/he can help you solve all these problems.  But you should consider this an emergency, and also take the actions noted here:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/sickbun.html

to make sure her body temperature is normal.  THE most important thing is to make sure her temperature is normal, as she will not be able to metabolize medications properly if her temperature is below normal (which often happens to a bunny in great pain, such as ileus causes).

Please write back if you have more questions, but get her to a good vet NOW.

Dana
