How to care for a pregnant bunny?

Question
Our rabbit ran away and has been gone for 11 days. We asked all the neighbors and one spotted her. She seems to be pregnant. She is very calm and was easily carried home. She is larger and I think I can feel something. I was a little unprepared  and could only find a plastic dish pan. I filled it with timothy hay and placed it in her hutch. What else do I need to do? She may be up to 28 days pregnant because she did get a way a month ago but came back on her own a few hours later.

Answer
If she is pregnant, then you need to make a nest and prepare it per the information at http://www.rabbit.org/care/babies.html  You've made a good start.  If you have a pet carrier you could use that instead of the dish plan.

Rabbit pregnancies last about 28-31 days, so it just depends on if she ran into a male domesticated rabbit which she was out and about.
