Fur loss on back

Question
My mini rex is loosing fur in patches on his back. If you pull at the hair near the patch, it comes right out. Other than that he seems normal. I got him from a stock show last October and he already had a small patch on his back. The seller said it would grow in but it never really did.

This could be fur mites, which don't itch, but can cause fur loss, typically along the back.  Please read:

and find a good vet who can confirm the problem with in-person diagnosis.  Revolution (selamectin) is the best, safest treatment for fur mites.
