HI, IM FROM MALAYSIA. im very sad and worries about my female rabbit.. she is 3 years old. at this few month i found that one of her behind leh is limp! what can i do with her now? i bring her to vet,but the vet say if wan must operation but the problem is the vet cant even give me comfirm that after operation will she be ok like be4? vet say my rabbit might pain untill no appetite and die! and docter olso suggest me to cut her leg off.. but i think this is too seriouse... what can i do now? i really love her alot.. i dun wish to lost her.. but i dun wan see her suffer with pain. and she not much active like before now.. im really sad please help me!!

Dear Ann,

I cannot really tell from your message what is wrong with the bunny's leg. Could it be broken?  If so, and if it is infected or not healing, then it might have to be amputated.  But I cannot see the bunny to know the condition of the leg and make any recommendations.

I am sorry I cannot help you more than that, but there is only so much I can do via the internet.  If the vet has given you options for treatment, you must now make the decision.  Nothing is ever 100% sure in life, but you must give your bunny the chance to survive.  Not treating the leg is not an option.  It needs medical attention.
