Question
I have a 10 x 12 covered and enclosed with wood 2 sides wire 1/2 x 1 inch 2 sided building. The rabbits are in 36x30x16 cages (2 cages suspended) I was told that I could not run chickens under the cages as the chickens would die from eating rabbit droppings

Answer
Dear David,

I have never heard of any chickens dying from eating rabbit droppings.  But rabbits do not thrive in suspended cages, as they require a lot of running room and social interaction.  Please give them a more rabbit-friendly environment, as you can learn about here:

It is not safe for the rabbits to run with the chickens, however, as the poultry feces may contain potentially very dangerous Salmonella bacteria.

Hope this helps.
