Hi Fran,

it could be for a number of reasons.  If the rabbit is not fixed and male, he is likely 'marking' you as his girl.  Neutering will get rid of this behavior.  Please only go to a good rabbit vet - if you don't have one, go to

and find one in your area.

I would also suspect your guinea pig is not fixed and it may be the same thing, but I am not a guinea pig expert.  I do know you can have male guinea pigs neutered as well, though.  I would expect if this is also a hormonally-driven behavior, it would go away with neutering him.  Girls usually don't spray people like boys do, but generally any kind of 'bathroom' function being used like this is because the rabbit has not been fixed.
