Question
Hi Dave, went to feed my bunnies and realised my doe had just given birth.  The kits are at the bottom of the ladder in a corner just on the bottom of the hutch.  My doe showed no signs of pregnancy (ie did not make a nest or pull any fur). She has cleaned them but is not sitting near them and i am worried they will die of being cold.  We handle our rabbits daily and let them roam the garden so i have not removed the male (he has a lovely temperament).  Should I? Not that we have anywhere to put him.  Oh and should I make a nest box, would mean having to move the babies though which i believe you should not do? Would really appreciate any advice.  Many Thanks Tracey

Answer
hi tracy -move the buck straight away as he may kill the babies put plenty of hay down so the doe can make a nest you may have to put the babys in the nest yourself as the doe will not (this is common)-dont expect to see her feeding them she will do it when all is quite.
