Question
I think my my rabbit may be pregnant as her companion turned out to be a male when we were told he was female. They have been seperated while we wait for him to be neutured and if my doe is pregnant her kits will be due sometime next week. However she has developed diarrhoea and i waned to know is this normal during pregnancy?

Answer
Dear Claire,

It's never normal for a bunny to have runny stool. Stress can trigger this, and being separated from her mate could be one cause.  Be sure they can see/smell each other and interact without coming into contact so they won't be lonely.

Please see:

and

for further explanation of how to tell if your female bunny is ill, and the various possible causes (and treatments) of the mushy poop.

As far as preparing for the litter, I hope this will help:

Hope this helps.
