Question
I HAVE A 5 MONTH OLD HOUSE RABBIT, WHO OVER THE LAST WEEK HAS STARTED RUBBING HIS CHIN ON CERTAIN OBJECTS AROUND THE HOUSE, WHY HAS HE STARTED DOING THIS? I DONT HAVE ANY OTHER PETS AND ALTHOUGH WE CALL HIM A HE ITS POSSIBLE HES A SHE AS WE DONT KNOW HIS SEX.

Answer
Dear Natalie,

Your bunny is marking his territory with the scent gland on his chin.  It means he's starting to reach sexual maturity, and may begin to show other sex-related behaviors, such as mounting and spraying urine.  To avoid this, it's best to have him neutered by an experienced rabbit vet:

You can find a good vet here:

Hope that helps.
