diarrhea - urgent

Dear Mr. Lawrence,

my bunny has diarrhea at night only, sometime between say midnight or 2am and 4am. i took him to the vet but they didn't tell me why this happens (i'm not from the states by the way). i feed him pellets and hay and he has these available at all times. the interesting thing is that this happen only during the hours mentioned and i've noticed that it increases if he eats more hay prior to that in the evening. it seems it's something chemical. i also make sure hay is kept away from the water. so do you have any idea what might be the reason for this. i give the bunny a bit of parsley daily (not too much) but everything is fine until the night comes. thanx a lot.

hi ana -its strange but it may be some chemical in the hay.
so i would leave him off hay for a while and i would not give any greens as these are well known to cause the runs.
pellets alone will be fine providing he has plenty of water to drink.
