The Doctor said allergies

Question
I took my 10 week old mini rex to the All Creatures Clinic today because he has had a little bit of a runny nose off and on for the last week accompanied by constant discharge in his eyes. He also seems to be sneezing more than normal. He is eating, drinking, and is active, although he does seem to be hiding/sleeping more often as of late. The Doctor assured me it did not look infectious and that he is most likely allergic to something. He named some for instances (hairspray, cedar, air freshener, specific beddings) but nothing came to mind as being the possible culprit. I am writing you because you stated in another answer that sneezing is very unlikely allergies. My reason for writing at all is because given all I have read about Pasteurella and Conjunctivitis, I just feel uneasy about the diagnosis he gave me. And of course, I just feel really bad for the little guy, I don't want him to be suffering or worse because I didn't get a second opinion. The Doc gave me eye drops for him. Could this really be an allergy? By the way, I have only had him two and a half weeks and he was fine the first week. The only change of any significance I can think of was I started giving him Timothy Hay in addition to the pellets.

Answer
Dear Kristen,

This sounds to me a bit like the diagnosis from a vet who may not see a lot of rabbits.  I certainly would get another opinion from a rabbit-savvy vet:

and read this, so you'll know what to ask:

I hope this helps get you on the road to your bunny's full recovery.
